The CEO of the fast food franchise Wendy's has said that he believes new food labeling regulations are good for the industry.
Under the new rules announced by the South Australian Minister for Health, fast food retailers will be required to display kilo joule information on their menus beginning in January 2012. Wendy's has been working towards compliance with these requirements for some time and so they are fully prepared to embrace the changes when they take effect. The announcement follows similar regulations that were introduced in New South Wales earlier in the year so that there is already a significant amount of work that has been down in this area by the company. Franchisees have been equipped with detailed nutritional information on every product offered by the brand for several years now.

This machine made by Coca Cola and is known as Freestyle, and it will be a part of several restaurant franchises of Burger King. The authorities of Burger King say that it is astonishing clients with varied flavors. These beverages involve sodas, and energy drinks. Some teenagers assembled at Burger King restaurant of Greenhaven Drive in Sacramento to taste sample flavors. The Restaurant manager of Burger King George Erskin said that he loved the flavor named Peach Sprite the most.

An open letter to McDonalds, signed by 550 healthcare professionals and organizations, published in the papers a week ago, has sparked a nationwide debate on who is responsible for children's health. McDonalds is under attack for using Ron McDonald and promotional toys to attract children. Healthcare professionals blame McDonalds of spreading obesity and unhealthy eating habits in America.
But a number of writers and McDonalds CEO, while accepting the role of McDonalds in promoting junk food eating habits, have said that the responsibility lies with the parents. McDonalds uses legal promotional techniques to promote its fast food, but healthcare professionals are equating McDonalds' ads to cigarette ads in 1960s, and vehemently advocating a ban on its ads targeting the children.
