It has been reported that the world's third largest fast food resturant chain Wendy's will soon be coming to Russia. The franchising talks have been in the process between the U.S. fastfood giant and Russian food company Food Service Capital. The first Wendy's outlet is supposed to be opened in Russia in early 2011. The trademark of the chain had already been registered by Russian patent agency Rospatent. Russia will be the 23rd country where the chain operates. Wendy 's location now has been ennumerated to some 6,600 restaurants worldwide. Food Service Capital plans to open 10 outlets in Moscow and St. Petersburg at the first stage. The company also plans to plant Wendy's outlets in railway stations, gas stations and along the highways. Two principal competitors of Wendy's, McDonalds and Burger King, have been operating in Russia since 1990 and 2009, respectively.
